Is Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous Plus Faster Than Lamborghini Aventador SV?

Lamborghini Aventador SV vs Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous Plus in a new Drag Race.

About five days ago, Tesla SUV won a quarter mile drag race against a Lamborghini Aventador SV (maybe because the driver of the Lambo launched the car a bit later).

However, in that race Tesla Model X P100D Ludicrous was very fast, and managed to set a new record for the world’s quickest SUV, ending the 1/4 mile race in just 11.41 seconds.

Today’s battle will take place between a Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous Plus (which is way faster than a Tesla SUV), and the same Lamborghini Aventador SV.

Judging after the first drag race, we can say that Tesla Model S will win easily.

However, every drag race is unique, so even if today Tesla SUV won a drag race against this very agile Lamborghini Aventador SV, this doesn’t mean that a faster Tesla would win against the same Lambo in a later race.

Let’s see the cars first:

Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous Plus is the same all-electric supercar with all-wheel drive (AWD) that uses two electric motors developing together 762 HP and 713 lb-ft. of torque.

In the Ludicrous Plus mode, Tesla does 0 to 60 mph in just 2.28 seconds, and ends the 1/4 mile race in about 10.7 seconds.

Lamborghini Aventador SV is a petrol-based supercar with all-wheel drive (AWD) that uses a 6.5 Liter V-12 engine developing 750 HP and 507 lb-ft. of torque.

This Lambo is lighter than the Tesla vehicle (weighs 4,200 lbs.), does 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, and ends the 1/4 mile drag race in only 10.4 seconds (faster than Tesla).

The first race was a pretty strange one because the engine of the Lamborghini was shut off for four seconds just before the start of the race, and this way Tesla managed to win with ease.

However, in the second race the Tesla driver failed to launch the vehicle in time, and lost because the Lamborghini did a perfect race.
