Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous vs McLaren 720S Drag Race

Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous vs McLaren 720S in a new Drag Race

The drag race season isn’t over yet because the good weather is still here, and the cars are ready to compete to show us which one is the best.

Today, Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous meets a very agile McLaren 720S in a new drag race followed by a roll race.

Let’s see a few specs of these cars first:

Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous is the well-known all-electric supercar with all-wheel drive (AWD), that uses two electric motors (one in the front and one in the rear) to generate 762 HP and 713 lb-ft. of torque.

Tesla weighs pretty much due to its battery package (just over 5,000 lbs.), but even so, can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.5 seconds.

McLaren 720s is a petrol-based supercar that uses a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 710 HP and 568 lb-ft. of torque.

McLaren 720s weighs only 3.190 lbs., which makes this vehicle to be a very agile one.

McLaren does 0 to 60 mph 2.8 seconds (slightly slower than Tesla), but ends the 1/4 mile race in only 10.4 seconds (which is way faster than the 1/4 mile time of the Tesla).

The video contains two drag races and one roll racing that can be seen at the end of the clip.

Tesla manages to lead in each drag race for about 100 yards, but loses after that pretty bad.

In the last race which is actually a roll race not a drag race, Tesla loses the lead of the race even faster.
