Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous vs. Toyota Supra Turbo in a new Drag Race

Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous vs. Toyota Supra Turbo in a new drag race.

Tesla Model X P100D Ludicrous meets in this video a very powerful and fast Toyota Supra Turbo (1000 HP) for a new drag race.

The video actually shows a few consecutive drag races between the two vehicles, but also a few roll races.

Let’s see the cars first:

This Tesla Model S P100D with Ludicrous upgrade is an all-wheel drive (AWD) electric supercar, that uses two electric motors developing together 588 HP and 920 lb-ft. of torque.

Tesla accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.28 seconds, but its top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).

Tesla weighs 4,950 pounds due to its large battery pack, but even so, the car manages to end the quarter mile race in about 10.7 seconds.

Toyota Supra Turbo is an older Japanese supercar with rear-wheel drive (RWD), but the power developed by its engine is insane.

This Toyota Supra was upgraded with single turbo E85 fuel, intercooler and other gizmos.

The car produces about 850 HP at the wheels and 760 lb.-ft of torque, which is not very impressive compared with the specs of the Tesla car.

Let’s watch the video to better understand why Tesla wins the “warm-up” races, while the Supra wins the roll races.

Tesla loses the roll races that start at 50 mph because there is no launch mode involved, and Supra has an advantage once the launch mode is no longer used.
