Trump prepares to announce that the U.S. withdraws from the Paris climate agreement

Trump announcing the withdrawal of the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.

What we’ve been expected has become reality, the U.S. will withdraw from the Paris climate agreement signed at COP 21 by the former president Barack Obama in December, 2015.

What is happening today, is not something unusual for us because during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, Trump announced that if he wins, one of the things that he will do, will be the withdraw of the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.

Scientists have already announced that the U.S. withdrawal from the climate agreement could accelerate the climate change effects in the world, and could lead to unbearable heat waves during the summer, floods, droughts and more frequent and more violent storms.

Giving the fact that Trump wants to revive the coal sector in the country, it is obvious that he is a big fan of the fossil fuels and he considers renewable energy and maybe even the electric cars as a waste of money and resources, which he can’t accept because he is committed to “Make America Great Again!”

However, the EU and China will continue the fight against climate change even without the U.S., and for certain they will strengthen bilateral relations and will work together much better than before.

The U.S. will be somehow aside of the battle against climate change and if Trump will revive the coal sector, the U.S. will have the chance to become the number one polluter in the world again.

So, instead of reducing emissions (as Obama planned), the U.S. will increase its carbon footprint during the Trump presidency.

You can watch the announcement live now.

We are back tomorrow with a new article about what will follow after the withdrawal of the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.
