Volkswagen ready to provide incentives for cleaner models

Volkswagen will provide incentives to the owners of older VW diesel models to switch to cleaner models.

Volkswagen will provide incentives to the owners of older diesel vehicles of its five main passenger-car brands (Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche and Volkswagen) in order to help the switch to cleaner vehicles, and to reduce air pollution.

Volkswagen officials stated that the incentives are currently prepared for the owners of older models that meet the Euro-1, Euro-2, Euro-3 and Euro-4 emissions standards, and will be shown in their offer very soon.

The financial details of the initiative to reduce air pollution produced by the older VW diesel vehicles was not yet disclosed, but what is certain is the fact that Volkswagen will provide impressive price discounts for all the models of the VW namesake brand such as Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche and VW commercial vehicles.

To help prevent diesel cars being banned from driving into city centers, Volkswagen will install a software upgrade on around 4 million Euro-5 and Euro-6 vehicles in Germany, as part of a deal signed with the German politicians on Wednesday.

A few Volkswagen dealers in Europe are already providing impressive price discounts for the main list of new Volkswagen models.

Yesterday, we received an email from a Volkswagen Dealer in Europe (VW Robot) that sent us a list of the new VW models (meeting the Euro 6 emissions standards) with impressive price discounts.

Here is the list.

Volkswagen Up! has a price discount of $1,661 and is sold for $11,509.

Volkswagen Polo has a price discount of $2,658 and is sold for $12,332.

The new Volkswagen Golf has a price discount of $2,259 and is sold for $17,552.

Volkswagen Jetta has a price discount of $3,068 and is sold for $15,960.

Volkswagen Passat has a price discount of $4,997 and is sold for $27,047.

Volkswagen Tiguan has a price discount of $998 and is sold for $23,979
.
Volkswagen Touareg has a price discount of $5,456 and is sold for $48,957.

Sadly, there is no price discount for the Volkswagen e-Golf, which would significantly reduce the level of air pollution in the cities.
