LiFePO4 batteries represent today a huge improvement over SLA batteries. The lithium-ion technology used to store energy, has evolved today to create a battery with higher energy density and longer lifetime.
A Chinese Manufacturer of LifePO4 Batteries
Maxworld Technologies is a lithium battery manufacturer with over 30+ years experience in the field.
Located in the Fukang Industrial Zone, Longnan, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province of China, Maxworld is a LiFePO4 battery manufacturer that provides energy storage solutions for both industrial and residential applications.
The company’s offer includes products like: LiFePO4 batteries, portable power stations, Telecom solar ESS solar energy systems, battery for emergency lighting and battery for solar street lighting.
LiFePO4 batteries
LiFePO4 batteries have many advantages when compared with SLA batteries (Sealed Lead Acid batteries), due to the higher energy density. LiFePO4 batteries can store much more energy than SLA batteries due to the fact that they have a deep discharge rate, providing this way maximum versatility.
LiFePO4 batteries are friendlier TO the environment because they use more abundant and non-toxic materials. The production process requires less energy and all these materials can be recycled much easier.
Compared with conventional SLA batteries, LiFePO4 batteries are nearly four times more powerful.
LiFePO4 batteries also live much longer because they have a longer service life. These batteries offer 2,500 complete charge and discharge cycles.
When we talk about their weight, LiFePO4 batteries are lighter than SLA batteries and more powerful, and due to these two essential properties. LiFePO4 batteries make them way more versatile than SLA batteries.
A comparison between LiFePO4 and SLA batteries
When comparing batteries using a different technology and materials, we take two batteries with similar energy output, and we look after the lifetime they provide, the number of cycles, cost per cycle and their weight.
An LFP 12100 Maxworld LiFePO4 battery compared to aN SLA battery with similar output.
In terms of lifetime, the Maxworld battery comes with a decade long (10 years) service life, compared to only 3 years service life provided by the SLA battery.
In terms of number of cycles provided, the SLA battery comes with only about 200 cycles, while the Maxworld battery comes with at least 2,500 cycles, which ensures again a much longer lifetime of the battery.
When we compare them after the cost per cycle, the SLA battery comes with a cost of $0.7/cycle, and the Maxworld battery with a cost of only $0.3/cycle.
Despite the fact that we talk about batteries with similar output, the weight of the Maxworld battery is 66 percent smaller than the weight of the SLA battery.
The Maxworld LiFePO4 battery also comes with a low discharge rate.
A low discharge rate means less worries when storing energy for longer periods of time. A LiFePO4 battery loses only 2 percent charge per month, due to the nature of the Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries and their high energy density.
This means that a fully charged LiFePO4 battery can potentially hold its charge for an entire year.
Giving the fact that it loses about 2 percent of charge monthly, even after one year, the LiFePO4 battery will still have about 76 percent charge available.
Portable power station
The Maxworld Outdoor Portable Station can replace a traditional gas generator without polluting the environment.
Can also be used as a camping battery providing an AC output of 110V/330W up to 700W (Watt). Two 12V DC Ports with 12V and 5 amps and 12V and 10 amps are also available.
The portable power station provided by Maxworld, is a 12 to 36V portable power station using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Battery with compatible SLA battery housing.
Telecom solar ESS solar energy system
This is a Maxword Power 48V series Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery that can be used to store energy produced by solar panels. Having such an energy storage solution for your solar PV system, you can turn your small power plant located on the roof into a reliable backup power systems.
Battery for emergency lighting
Emergency lighting requires certain safety measures to maintain regulations, and Maxworld provides a standard lineup with nominal voltage 3.2V and 6.4V, capacity between 0.5Ah and 6Ah, and standard BMS with options for charging and discharging electrical current.
Battery for solar street lighting
For solar street lighting, Maxworld provides a battery with high energy density, free maintenance and long lifespan.
The standard lineup includes a nominal voltage of 12.8V, a capacity between 15Ah and 21Ah, and a standard BMS with options for charging and discharging electrical current.
